Pro Driving Instruction
Our professional driving instructors have years of racing and coaching experience and are with you every step of the way, offering feedback and encouragement via radio. They’ll always demonstrate the exercise for you, illustrating everything – from proper seating positions to the best way through a corner.

We practice challenge by choice, so you’re always at a level of performance that you feel comfortable with. Our instructors provide instant feedback and positive reinforcement while encouraging each driver to have a little fun. Okay, maybe more than a little.
A LITTLE PHYSICS, A LOT OF FUN
Your day begins in the classroom, where our instructors will go over the basics of high-performance driving. Everything from the proper seating position to how a car handles changes in speed and direction will be covered.
SKILLS AS ONLY WE CAN TEACH THEM
Our closed course is the perfect place to understand what happens when you lose you control of a car and how far down the road you need to look. These are skills that you’ll be able to call upon for the rest of your driving life.
PRACTICE AT THEIR OWN PACE
Our lessons are all about pace – picking up the pace as you feel comfortable and going at your own pace for each driving exercise. It’s not about how fast you go here but how well you can keep it all under control.
CONE THRONE
Our fun obstacle courses include cones and slick surfaces, giving students a first-hand look at what happens when a car suddenly stops doing what they think it will do.

WE’LL BRING OUT YOUR INNER M POWER
SKID PAD
Feel the difference between understeer and oversteer, and learn to control the back of the car with throttle. Get it right, and you’ll start to drift sideways with ease.
SECTION TRAINING
A perfect lap starts with where you look. We’ll break down Indianapolis into two sections and guide you through proper brake and turn-in points. Look as far ahead as you can; those corners come fast.
DRAG RACE
Line up against another driver and time your launch. You’ll need to manage an M vehicle’s prodigious power off the line or risk losing a tenth of a second and bragging rights.
LEAD/FOLLOW
You go where you look, and here you’ll be following our lead instructor’s car as they guide you around the proper line at ever-increasing speeds.
TIMED AUTOCROSS
You’ll learn a lot here at Indianapolis. Can you put it all together for timed runs against the other drivers? Smoothness is the key. Win the day and you’ll be Master of M.
HOT LAPS
Our pro instructors will get behind the wheel of a BMW M car as you ride along for an incredible experience – one fast lap of Indy. Hold on tight.
WHICH INDIANAPOLIS DRIVING EXPERIENCE SHOULD I PICK?
Spend even just a few hours with us and you’ll need to catch your breath. But a full day of track time will allow you to develop a rhythm and truly hone your skills.

HALF-DAY
Both the morning and afternoon sessions include lunch, along with about 30 minutes of classroom instruction. After that, you’re on the track for a rotation of exercises followed by instructor Hot Laps.
FULL-DAY
The full-day Indianapolis Driving Experience includes a 45-minute classroom session, lunch, morning and afternoon driving rotations with various exercises and instructor Hot Laps.

Is lunch included with a BMW Driving Experience at Indianapolis?
Lunch is at the conclusion of the first session. For the afternoon session, lunch will begin at 11:30 am after registration.
Does the BMW Performance Center offer classes at other locations?
Each year, we travel abroad to famous locations such as the Nürburgring in Germany and the Arjeplog in Sweden for BMW Ice Training.
How long is a half-day Driving Experience?
The morning events run from 8 am to 1 pm, and the afternoon events run from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, including lunch.
Can I pick up a new BMW at the BMW Performance Center?
Yes, we offer new vehicle delivery at our South Carolina location. Please visit our Delivery page and Delivery FAQ for more information.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations for a full refund must be made within 60 days of your payment date. Cancellations made after the 60 days of payment will receive a credit to use toward another date or event. There will be no rescheduling if the cancellation is made within 14 days of your school or event.
How old do I have to be to participate in a BMW Driving Experience?
For all classes, you must be at least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license, to participate.
