BMW TEEN DRIVING SCHOOL

Hand Them The Keys To Car Control
Driving should always be fun, and with a firm grasp of the basics, it can be. BMW Teen School puts new drivers behind the wheel of a BMW for a full day of training. Students practice emergency braking, lane changes, skid control and accident avoidance with certified BMW instructors on our closed course, building confidence and skills for the road ahead.
It's Time To Bring Your Teen Up To Speed

Pro Driving Instruction
Our professional driving instructors have years of racing and coaching experience and are with your teen every step of the way, offering feedback and encouragement via radio. They’ll always demonstrate the exercise for your teen, illustrating everything – from proper seating positions to the best way through a corner.
Your Teen Will Reach Their Own Limits
We practice challenge by choice, so your teen will always at a level of performance that they feel comfortable with. Our instructors provide instant feedback and positive reinforcement while encouraging each driver to have a little fun. Okay, maybe more than a little.

A LITTLE PHYSICS, A LOT OF FUN
Your teen’s day begins in the classroom, where our instructors will go over the basics of driving. Everything from the proper seating position to how a car handles changes in speed and direction will be covered.
SKILLS AS ONLY WE CAN TEACH THEM
Our closed course is the perfect place for your teen to safely understand what happens when they lose control of a car and how far down the road they need to look. They will learn accident avoidance, hydroplaning and practicing for muscle memory – things your teen can’t learn safely out on the road. These are skills they can use on the road for the rest of their driving lives.

PRACTICE AT THEIR OWN PACE
Our lessons are all about pace – picking up the pace your teen feels comfortable with and going at their own pace for each driving exercise. It’s not about how fast they go here but how well they can keep it all under control and react faster.
CONE THRONE
Our fun obstacle courses include cones and slick surfaces, giving students a first-hand look at what happens when a car suddenly stops doing what they think it will do. They’ll learn understeer and oversteer, and hydroplaning on water. We simulate real-world issues that your teen can encounter, teaching them the skills to handle the situation without panicking.

Your Teen Will Know It All
Warm-Up Slalom

Instead of outright speed, the slalom course focuses on precision and vehicle control. Your teen will receive feedback from the instructors to start building a base of skills and keep the car stable while under dynamic conditions. Cones mark off direction and turn-in points, so they’ll be keeping their eyes ahead.
Emergency Braking

We’ll instruct teens on how long it takes to brake at various speeds, why they should avoid tailgating and how to maintain control under hard braking with the anti-lock system engaged. Day two includes interstate braking with ever-increasing speed up to 70 mph.
Emergency Skid Control

CPR. No, not that kind. We mean Correct, Pause, Recover. Our wet skid pad simulates ice or hydroplaning on water, giving teens a real-world opportunity to practice understeer and oversteer repeatedly, learning to react instead of panic.
HANDLING COURSE

This is an exercise aimed at overall car control. Students will get a feel for the road as they drive through our Handling Course and learn to control acceleration, braking and turning.
EMERGENCY LANE CHANGE

This exercise is geared toward the unpredictable. Other drivers, wildlife and the unexpected may come in your teen’s way. The “lane toss,” one lane to the other in a short distance, gives them practice for the real world.
TEEN CHALLENGE COURSE

Combining everything learned from the day’s activities, the Teen Challenge Course combines emergency braking, lane changes, wet and dry surfaces and proper vision into one complete exercise. Your teen will receive points or get penalized when making mistakes - just like golf, the lowest score wins.
DOUBLE-LANE CHANGE

Your teen will explore how a car handles sudden changes in direction by swerving to avoid the unpredictable, as the vehicle’s weight shifts through a series of left to right turns.
OFF-ROAD COURSE

Two-Day Teen Driving School includes an exercise on our Off-Road Course in BMW X vehicles. Your teen will gain confidence and skills navigating a controlled all-terrain environment as they drive through dips and ruts, and descend steep hills with Hill Descent Control activated.
PERFORMANCE DRIVE

Your teen will try a sample of thrills with our Performance Drive, where they’ll explore how different models react in various situations using the skills they’ve learned in the past day and a half to understand vehicle dynamics. They’ll adapt their skills to the BMW they’re in – each is unique.
